Handicap de las Americas Draws Thirteen Postward MEXICO CITY, D. F., April 22 — Denton and Burts Gay Dalton, winner of seven handicaps during the current meeting, at Hipodromo de las Americas, will attempt to carry 130 pounds tomorrow in the 5,000 Handicap de las Americas. Gay Dalton is giving his opponents from twenty-three to twenty-nine pounds in the one mile and a quarter race. There were 25 nominations, but only 13 were entered. The dozen matched against the son of American Flag and Traumerette are Big Bim, Riding Light, Denver II., Carrighatar, Dark Play, Barging On, LOndee, Real Gem, Struttin Sam. Gold Rust, Busy Maid and Seeing Eye. The latter won the 1944 renewal of the Mexican Derby and he is expected to give the favorite most of the competition. Mel Duhon. a Louisiana youngster who has ridden 75 winners here, will have the mount on Gay Dalton. He won two previous races on the four-year-old.
