Broadcloth. West Coast Derby! Candidate, Arrives at Downs LOUISVILLE. Ky.. April 22.— Another probable starter in the seventieth Kentucky Derby to be run on Saturday, May 6, has arrived at Churchill Downs. He is the California candidate, Broadcloth, owned by Mrs. George Poulson, of Los Angeles, and trained by C. T. Leavitt. The three-year-old son of Good Goods, shipped here from Bay Meadows near Saji Francisco, completed the long trip late yesterday. He came off the express car in good condition and is scheduled to have his final and most important pre-Derby test in the Derby Trial Stakes, to be run on Tuesday, May 2. Leavitt stated that he hopes to have George Woolf here to handle the Golden State representative in both the Trial and Derby. He is awaiting word from the veteran saddle star. j ! j I j I I
