Hirsch Still Undecided On Assaults Campaign Eligible for Dwyer at Aqueduct, Classic and American Derby Here BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y.. June 3. — Trainer Max Hirsch, his weather-beaten face wreathed in smiles stood for a few minutes in front of Assaults stall In the private stable at Belmont Park this morning. He was thumbing several delayed telegrams, congratulatory messages. Assault on Saturday had joined that select circle of winners of the "Triple Crown," but the future campaign of the colt had not been definitely settled. Hirsch stated that he would study the matter for several days before deciding when and where the colt will again face the starter. Assault is an eligible for the 0,000 Dwyer Stakes, top-line feature for three-year-olds of the Queen;; County Jockey Club meeting. That is his only major objective there. In addition he is eligible for the Arlington Classic and American Derby, to be decided in the Chicago sector. The Dwyer Stakes is to be run on June 15 and is over the mile and one-quarter distance. The nominations for this race pire City Stakes to be run at the Em-pire-at-Jamaica meeting is another 0,000 added offering, to which the Texas-bred is an eligible. Hirsch said that Mehrtens told him after the race that the ground had broken from under the colt when the starting gates were opened, but that Assault quickly overcame that handicap to settle in his stride.
