Ayete Wins Premio Villamejor MADRID, Spain, June 3 Reuters. — Figueroa Studs Ayete, starting at 5 to 2, won the Premio Villamejor, which is equivalent to the Spanish Derby, yesterday. The winner, by Dark Japan out of Aya, won by four lengths over Senora Teresas Searchlight, who finished a head in front of San Jorge Studs Verval Message at the completion of the one and one-half mile test for three-year-olds. Ayete, bred in Spain, had previously won the National Grand Prix, which is open only to three-year-olds bred in the country.
