Celebrate Golden Anniversary BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 3. — William and Mrs. Wallace celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary yesterday afternoon. The occasion was celebrated by a large gathering of racing men and presents received by the couple on their wedding day were again put on display. One that attracted the most attention was a chest of silver presented by the late Riley Grannan. The chest, containing more than 200 pieces, has been in use daily. The Wallaces were married in Chicago by the Reverend W. Bixby of the Episopalian Church, with Jim McClennan as best man, and at that time he was training for himself 17 horses, among which were the highly successful The Commoner and The Winner. The Commoner won 19 of 21 starts. He finished second to Henry of Navarre in the Suburan of 1896.
