Blue Train Wins Newmarket NEWMARKET. England, May 14. Reuters I — The Kings Derby candidate, Blue Train, watched by the Princess Elizabeth, scored an easy four-length victory in the one mile and a quarter Newmarket Stakes here today. He started a hot 2 to 11 favorite. Gordon Richards, who rode the winner, after the race said: "Blue Train began very lazily and I had to shake him up. However, he won easily and I stopped riding him some way from the finish line." He beat another Derby candidate in White Horses, who was 20 to 1, while Coup Napoleon was third of the seven runners. After his victory, 11 to 2 was offered against Blue Train winning the Derby.
