WITHASTAR bore out while engaging JACKS CREEK to the stretch, came gamely when roused for the drive and, after taking command, increased his advantage. KNIGHTS HILL, slow to begin and outrun early, drifted out during the last eighth, bothered BALLADON and held the latter safe. BALLAD0N, forced out by KNIGHTS HILL nearing the finish, could not better his position. JACKS CREEK made the pace to the stretch, was briskly ridden in the drive, but failed to stay. AIR CURRENT, never far back and well ridden, overcame mild interference when engaging HERE GOES during the drive, took command and crossed to the inside to win going away. HERE GOES went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, drifted out when roused in the drive, then was unable to withstand the winner. NEAQUEEN raced evenly. TED CHAR, hard ridden through the stretch, could not threaten. HY SPREAD had no mishap. LATE ADVICE bumped PAL0MA LINDA immediately after the start, was hustled to contention, then tired. T0LECA could not keep up. PALOMA LINDA, in close quarters immediately after the break, bumped LATE ADVICE and was never a threat thereafter. GLIDER PILOT began fast, but was taken in hand entering the far turn, then came to the inside for the drive and won going away. CHICALMO, fo.wardly placed between horses, was carried wide into the stretch, reached the lead between calls, but could not hold the winner. MANNA H. moved up fast rounding the final turn but faltered in the drive. LITTLE STING finished well. WHITEFORD TET set the pace to the stretch, then quit. MY MARGIE saved ground. NITE CRIES, hard hustled to catch the lead on the inside, disposed of CAMPANULA in the drive and drew out under urging. CAMPANULA possessed speed, could not withstand the winner, but easily bested the others. DELIA M. raced forwardly between horses and held on well to dead-heat with SEALANE. The latter was unable to keep up early, but closed fast. FLY MENOW saved ground in the drive. GALLANTRY tired. PETROSE GIRL could not keep up. DIER BALLA was never a threat. FORETELL, close up on the inside, was taken to the outside entering the far turn when bothered slightly by SUNSLEEP, assumed command readily and held on well, despite swerving. FAR GREATER set the early pace, was forced wide rounding the final turn, then came again in a good effort. SUNSLEEP forced the pace on the inside, rushed into command entering the stretch, then faltered. MAVADA raced evenly. OAKMUIR never threatened. SHARON G. was outrun. EVIDENT, on the outside throughout, came determinedly in the drive, but could not reach the winner. DELHANNAH relinquished her early lead on the turn, regained command entering the stretch, was bumped lightly by the winner, then tired. BIG POP weakened in the drive. MY SISTER could not get up. SPECIAL PET sprinted into command immediately after the start, set the pace under occasional urging, held on determinedly under punishment and bested PIPLAD. The latter, taken in hand for the first quarter, was sent up between horses on the back-stretch, then drifted wide in the stretch while getting to the winner. FORT SCHUYLER saved ground throughout in an even effort. SUEDE weakened in the drive. BIG BURLY raced on the outside. WATCH CHILLA never threatened. SANAB, never far back, closed steadily after a half-mile and wore down MCCOSH in the drive to be up in the final stride. MCCOSH ducked sharply to the rail at the start, drove into a pocket rounding the first turn, then came out to assume command after a half, opened a clear lead and held on well to the end. HEAD SEA, bothered by MCCOSH at the start, was outrun, but closed fast. FREE DUCHESS weakened in the drive. GALLANT SON could not keep up. FRANCIE had no excuse. ERMELIA quit badly.
