Widener. WENT TO POST-6 01 OFF AT 6:01 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. . Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. IMPENETRABLE was not hurried when unable to obtain a forward position early, responded to urging to improve position swiftly leaving the Stretch and drove between horses to win in the final jump. REX ROMANUS was slow to settle in best stride was taken to the outside to obtain a contending position entering the stretch and just failed to get up on the outside. PURITAN was steadied behind CRATER LAKES pace to the three-eighths pole then drew out to a wide lead while saving ground entering the stretch, but was unable to withstand the top ones ORAGE Soke slowly and I improved position gradually on the turn, but weakened in the final furlong. BAYONET was done early. CRATER LAKE weakened steadily after being displaced. Scratched 23527 Loudoun Boy, 117. Puritan claimed by C. F. Heinicke. Impenetrable claimed by A. Newmeyer.
