Racing Broadcasts Today The Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park today will be broadcast at 3.: 30 p. m., Central Daylight Time, by Columbia Broadcasting: System, through the facilities of station WBBM. Clem McCarthy will call the running of the race, with Bill Corum describing the incidental scene. The race also will be televised. At 2:30 p. m., a "preview" of the Belmont will be put on the air by the same network, various turf celebrities being interviewed by Joe Palmer. From Delaware Park at 3:30 p. m., the Brandywine Handicap will be broadcast nationally by the American Broadcasting Company, station WENR, with Jack McCarthy and Tom Moorehead at the mike, and by the Mutual Broadcasting System, station WGN, with Jack OHara describing the race.
