WINTAG, away alertly, was under slight restraint for a half mile while saving ground, slipped through on the inside rail nearing the stretch and, after taking command, drew out under pressure. ENGELS BLUE moved up boldly when settled for the stretch run and closed willingly on the outside. BETROUM was forwardly placed from the beginning, but failed to respond when reused for the drive. TOP SOLDIER lacked early speed, but finished full of run and appears ready for a good route effort. NEWLOOK replaced WINTAG before going a half mile, but flattened out during the final stages. LEADING MAN raced on the outside throughout. CULVER CO-ED saved ground to no avail. ARTLESS was never dangerous. WISE SHOPPER showed nothing. BARDHYLLUS gave a listless performance.
