JOIS displaced QUEEN KARLING on the outside in the backstretch, came in before the far turn and drew away. MAJOR JIMMY moved up between horses with a belated bid to wear down QUEEN KARLING for the place. The latter flashed speed and quit. SWELL CHANCE veered in badly shortly after the start and had to be steadied to avoid the inside rail after leaving the chute. COURTS MAUDE ran out on the first turn, then tired. WAYNE S. was forced wide on the first turn. EAGER AGNES showed nothing. STRAETH went into a clear lead and came to the inside before a furlong, was roused to maintain the lead after a half, then increased her advantage under mild punishment in the final stages. BUSY PONY challenged boldly after a half mile, but was not good enough. CHIC CHIC, unhurried early, went between horses and closed willingly MOON BLUE was outrun. WARY MARY showed nothing. HERBIE G. bore out and raced wide while in command on the first and second turns, was rated along until the final turn, then drew away under hard punishment. AIR COMMANDER, reserved for a half mile, moved up between horses and wore down SEA-MANS PAL for the place. The latter gave way in the final quarter mile. ONE ATOM saved ground and had no mishap. BERNZIE struck the heels of SULIE going into the first turn, then went wide. RESTLESS RUTH and DOLLYS BEAUTY broke poorly. BEST TRICK made the pace on the rail, moved out slightly coming out of the far turn, came again when headed and won going away. ONE BLUE, carried out on the first turn, forged through on the rail and gained the lead between calls in the stretch, then was taken up very sharply in the final two strides. BUBBLING EASY forced the pace on the outside and faltered near the end. RICHAVOO lacked speed and was blocked momentarily entering the stretch. RIOT was carried wide on the first turn. ROYAT, under light restraint the opening half mile, took command when called upon and won with something left. LUCKY COLONEL went up between horses after a slow beginning and closed willingly. PURE CHANCE bore in badly a sixteenth after the start, then bore out on the first two turns and tired. OFFENBACH weakened after six furlongs. REIGH MISS, allowed to settle into best stride, worked her way up between horses and was up just in time. WAR PAGE lost ground early while with the pace, went up on the rail after a half to gain command and just missed. ROYAL PIGEON trailed the opening half mile, lost ground moving up, bore in badly a sixteenth from the finish and had to be taken up to avoid interference. FRISK went through on the rail to be on even terms for the lead and gave way in the final quarter. ROTATE had no excuse. SUN SYMBOL bore out on the turns and quit.
