DOUBLE FEATURE raced within striking distance in the eraly stages, moved strongly around horses entering the stretch and, finishing on the extreme outside, was drawing out at the finish. WARMELIA raced on the outside of horses early, took command after going a half, held on determinedly, but could not hold the winner. PINK CHANCE lacked early speed, then closed with a rush. DUCK BERRY saved ground throughout and had no excuse. JUSTASNACK flashed early speed, then tired. QUINTERO showed a dull effort. Duck Berry claimed by Bensinger and Miller. UNION JOE, much the best, was m close quarters soon after the start, was forced to take up sharply, came around the leaders entering the stretch, and took command under strong handling. GRAND BARTER -forced the early pace, moved into command, but could not handle the winner. FRONT ROW showed an even effort, went wide entering the stretch, then finished gamely. TRY IKE got to the lead soon after the break, led for a half, but had little left in the final stages. TEAPOY was outrun. KAPISTAN tired. Overweight— Front Row, 3 pounds; Kapistan, 1. PNUT VENDOR was steadied within striking distance of the pace, took the lead entering the stretch and, under brisk handling, withstood the others. PRECEDER worked his way forward steadily, was in tight quarters along the rail during the late stages, but closed gamely to dead-heat with SKYANN. The latter outsprinted the field from immediately after the break, then tired during the final strides, but lasted to finish on even terms with PRECEDER. YOU ARE YOU finished willingly under pressure. PEBBLES HOUR weakened when set down for the drive. LADY GREENWOOD was forwardly placed from the beginning, but lacked a closing rally. EVER ON outsprinted the field into the first turn, held sway to the stretch while racing on his own courage and increased his advantage thereafter, winning with something left. ROBIN HILL was sent into closer contention on the far turn, but could not get to the winner when ridden through he late stages. DARK HEATHER raced evenly through the final furlong without mishap. SOCIAL KNIGHT caught tiring horses. SIDNEY SUE had no excuse. GREENOCK IMAGE flashed brief speed, then quit. SPRING GAL was never formidable. CALLADICO trailed throughout.
