KING WATCH raced along the inside while rallying from far back, attained the lead in midstretch and lasted over LAST BRIGADE. The latter rallied from the outside, but was prevented from doing his best because of lugging in during the drive. BUFFALO GAP swerved sharply while wresting command in the early stretch, then tired. FRANKY BOY was in close quarters rounding the turn and closed well when clear. BID HEART held a clear lead for a half mile, was engaged in the early stretch and badly impeded when displaced. MIDST, in close attendance to the pace from the start, responded to pressure to wrest command frcm DISKY, then held CAPRIOLE safe The latter was always formidable and outfinished the others. DISKY set the pace and faltered. FIRE FOX, badly outrun early, closed willingly while racing quite wide. LIBERTY A. raced evenly. GED was through early WHITE MARLIN raced wide throughout. CHEERFUL LIAR UNSEATED HIS RIDER AT THE STARTING POINT AND RAN OFF FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, WHICH CAUSED THE POST DELAY. HE WAS WITHDRAWN AND ALL WAGERS WERE REFUNDED. NETHERBY disposed of the early opposition along the backstretch, drew clear on the turn and continued to increase his advantage while winning easily. WILY outfinished the others after being slow to settle into stride. BULL LEAD caught tired horses CAVALIER TRIM held a favorable position, but lacked a rally. GAY BEAUTY quit after dueling for the early lead. BURLEY BID was never a factor. STAR STUDENT showed nothing. CHAFFEE-DEE was unable to draw clear early and quit. The latter alternated in setting and pressing the pace and was outfinished while drifting out through the final stretch. WINSHIP made up ground on the top pair through the stretch. SLAM BID, unhurried during the early stages, drove between horses through the stretch and outfinished ISOCRATES. The latter took the overland route while rallying from last position and was not good enough in the final drive. DIXIE YANK hung in the final test after moving into the first flight in the early stretch. MILK WAR raced TIMEIN into defeat and weakened slightly. COAT OF ARMS lacked sufficient room in the drive. JUNE AYR saved ground while being rated and was kept in close quarters along the rail through the final furlong. TIMEIN, hard pressed for the lead, faltered. CHIEF JOHN 0. showed nothing.
