READE CASTLE set most of the pace and, although headed a couple of times, had strength in the run home to hold PREFER TROUTT. The latter was always within striking distance and closed fast on the inside. OKLAHOMA TIME moved to catch READE CASTLE nearing the stretch turn, then bore out when straightened away and was weakening at the finish. MANEEN was going gamely at the end. TURN BACK lacked his usual early speed and was in rather tight quarters on the inside on the backstretch. XENOFOX had some early speed. NOWLOGGIN followed the pace of ROSILY closely to the far turn, then came strongly to take command and draw out, but was under a drive near the end, although well in front. DONNA L. was forced to race wide while making her move, but seemed strongest of all at the end. ROSILY weakened in the stretch. SASSY SUZANNE was close enough in the early part, but was unable to catch the leaders. SWIFT TOWN had some early speed. KENAYR was unable to keep up. NOLA was never a contender. MISS CROSSBOW forced GALLAHAD BESS to set a fairly good pace, then came strongly on the outside of her in the stretch to forge to the front near the end and won under pressure. GALLAHAD BESS went to the front early, but could never get far away, yet saved ground and held on well in the final drive. NORMRICH showed a fair measure of early speed and held third place safe throughout. DASHA went evenly. SHAFFIE was never a contender in a weak effort. INFINITY K. THREW HERSELF IN THE STALL GATE AND. BEING APPARENTLY SLIGHTLY INJURED, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN BY THE STEWARDS. MONEY WAGERED OF HIM WAS REFUNDED. SEABEHEST gained an advantage by hugging the rail when the early leaders went wide on the second turn and, saving ground thereafter, had i enough left to hold ROYAL CHALLA. The latter moved up very fast nearing the far turn, but was unable . to carry through with his speed, although pressing the winner. NITRO FIRE came wide in the stretch, but outfinished EQUISUN. The latter was carried very wide by LIKE A BREEZE on the first turn and was used 1 up from his early efforts. GARRETT C. improved his position under urging to easily best KANDYCAL. The latter was in close quarters in the first quarter and was forced to ease back, then moved up on the backstretch, but had little left for the finish. KASLICK closed fairly well. DUSTY DAYS tired. MISS BOBBIN contested the leadership with PAR BOY in the early running and gained a clear advantage when the latter dropped back, then saved ground to race well to the finish, but had to be hustled along to hold MR. FOX. The latter was always a fairly good contender and was gaining at the end. OPEN WAY lacked much early speed, but finished courageously to catch MR DINK near the end. MR. DINK performed in a creditable manner. FINE FETTLE and FIRST SECURITY were never serious contenders. PAR BOY was eased up when he bled. Scratched— 27213 Blue Agent, 112. She closed up gamely nearing the stretch turn to take command and drew out gradually after entering the stretch to have enough left to hold OBSTINATE SI. The latter lacked much early speed, but displayed some power in the stretch and was going well at the finish. AURORA DEB loomed after entering the stretch and went steadily to the end.
