SAND FLY reached the lead nearing the furlong marker, but under pressure was unable to withstand the winner. C0RINNE T. rallied too late to seriously endanger the leaders. TOMMY ALAN closed resolutely between horses in a sharp effort. LITTLE SCOTT caught tiring horses. BETSY V. failed to stay. SHELIA LOU gave way suddenly inside the stretch. BEWILDER quit. MAD AGAIN, forced to take up slightly when in close quarters immediately after the start, came out for the drive and, after reaching the lead, won drawing away. CYDS BABY made the pace to the stretch, weakened during the late stages, but easily was best of the others. BOOTS BEST raced evenly through the stretch without mishap. STAR PIGEON finished willingly when subjected to stern pressure. WILD HEIRESS faltered when called upon for her best effort. RINGADOR was unable to keep up. TOLECA had no apparent excuse. The latter failed to respond when called upon for his best effort. HOBAD raced evenly through the late stages without mishap. BALLYHEATHER, timidly ridden, was guided to the middle of the track for the drive, took up sharp when impeded by BULL FORD midway in the drive and lost all chance. BULL FORD drifted out through the stretch while tiring. TRIM BULL finished determinedly under punishment. MR. BULL was much used early and failed to stay. JUST STOP raced wide. TIME ETERNAL made the pace until well inside the final furlong, then weakened. KEEP MOVING shewed good speed from the beginning while saving groudn, but lacked a convincing rally. PAPPYS REBEL made up some ground during the late stages, as did BRASSY LIE. MUSICIAN moved up menacingly on the outside on the near turn, then faltered. JUSTASNACK and TINY GIT had no mishap. MIKE EHRET quit. BROWN TULIP hesitated leaving the gate and failed to enter contention thereafter. FOXY PATE was compelled to take the overland route when makeg his stretch bid. PROUD JACK was much used early and had nothing left.
