TIME ROLL challenged after a half mile, then weakened. GOLDEN MEAN raced close to the pace and held on stubbornly. MARKET OUT was closing fast at the end. NIGHT MAN weakened after forcing the pace. DOUBLE 0., steadied in the run down the backstretch, came to the outside on the final turn, responded to steady pressure and was along to beat SCHOLARSHIP in the final strides. SCHOLARSHIP raced close to the pace, moved into command when ready, drew clear, but was not good enough. GOOD SWEEP set the pace for a half mile, weakened, but held on stubbornly BROWNSKIN went in the air at the start, was rushed on the outside to engage the leader, then tired. The latter set a rapid pace under steadying restraint, held en stubbornly when challenged, but was not good enough. MARYMIGIRL was in close attendance of the pace, but lacked a rally when roused. LONG GONE broke alertly, was under steadying restraint while showing slightly in front, moved away from the field midway on the final turn and was under pressure to hold EMPTY POCKETS safe. The latter, close up throughout, finished with good energy. JUDYS RUNNER clcsed well under late urging. BOLD POT forced the pace, held on well until the final furlong, then tired. CHARING ROCK, under early pressure to keep up, flatlered out when put to a drive. UNCLE HAL raced on the outside rnd showed nothing. The others were outrun. Overweight— Bold Pet, 1 pound.
