Klukofsky Returns to Gotham To Answer Charge of Bribery NEW YORK, N. Y., May 9 UP.— Eli f Klukofsky, who was arrested in Miami earlier this month in connection with New v Yorks basketball scandal, returned here by y plane today and was charged with offering Z bribes to five City College of New York players. Klukofsky came back with two detectives s on advice of his lawyer after first planning or to fight extradition. District attorney Frank 1 Hogans office has charged him with offering . brides to Norm Mager, Herb Cohen, Irwin Dambrot, Ed Roman and Al Roth to g throw games or juggle points against UCLA, L Niagara and Southern Methodist during the 1949-50 season. Roth and Roman were indicted by the grand jury with 10 other players April 30 but action was withheld on Mager, Cohen 1 and Dambrot until Klukofsky could be located. Hogan said all three have admitted i taking bribes from him.
