JOES LADDIE, in close quarters immediately after the start, made up ground steadUy when clear and, after assuming command in the stretch, drew clear under urging. LENAS BOY, outrun early, responded readily when hard ridden during the last three-eighths, but could not reach the winner. MI0 LIPS, forced to ease back when crowded after the break, made a bold bid entering the stretch, but faltered during the last sixteenth. HIGH TEST could not better her position when set down in the drive. HIDDEN ACE went to the front at once, made the pace until inside the stretch then weakened. SQUIDGE could not keep up. ARABS PAL raced prominently to the stretch and was tiring when blocked during the drive. UNCLE DOC never was dangerous. MAD CORD raced wide after beginning slowly.
