MOCK BATTLE began alertly, raced with SCENE ONE to the last eighth, then faltered. TRENTON SAND raced well and had no mishap. RIGMAROLE, on the outside from the beginning, raced greenly. SIR LOPEZ began slowly and never reached serious contention. INDOLENCE was outrun. AVARICIOUS could not keep up. KEYMAR broke well, but dropped far back immediately after the beginning. VINITA TONEY, forwardly placed from the start, raced to 0. K. DOAK entering the stretch, assumed a short lead and lasted to hold the advantage while under strong handling. 0. K. DOAK, a keen factor from the start, reached the lead after disposing of DELINDA, held on gamely when set down through the stretch, but was not good enough for the top one, although easily best of the others. SOME BID, in hand to the stretch, could not better his position when set down for the drive. GLORYS CHANCE lacked early foot, but finished well when sent to the inside for the stretch run. GALLEST was never dangerous. ROMANCE HILL began fast, but could not keep, up after the start. DARE HE IS tired. DELINDA made the pace for five-eighths, then gave way. GOOD HEAVENS, well handled, assumed command at once, made the pace to the stretch under steady restraint and easily held a good advantage to the finish. OATKA, in hand to the last three-eighths, drifted out entering the stretch, but finished willingly when straight for the drive. HADHAMAUT, a sharp factor from the beginning, bore out during the drive and could not get to the leaders. MY FUTURE, forwardly placed early, failed to rally when set down through the stretch. I0NA U. made a mild bid entering the stretch, but tired during the last eighth. FANCY FUN began sluggishly and was never a serious threat. WEST COAST was outrun. CANINA SIS was through early. AUNT JAYNE Z. went to the front at once, made the pace under occasional urging and withstood a long drive to retain an advantage over MOOLA. The latter, never far back but on the outside, responded well when hard urged through the stretch, but could not overtake the top one. CHALLORETTE raced evenly to the stretch, saved ground during the drive, but could not better her position. CONCRETE weakened after racing well to the stretch. COLD SPY was never dangerous. PLAY EDA was far back throughout, giving a dull effort. EXCITABLE MARY failed to stay after showing early speed. Overweight— Play Eda, 2 pounds. NEB JR. lacked early speed, but saved ground entering the stretch and finished willingly. BALLERINA GIRL tired after racing prominently to the stretch. BLACK NORLIG made a mild bid entering the stretch, but faltered during the drive. CHARITY began slowly. SING TU LEE tired after showing early speed. TIGER HARRIS showed nothing. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive and closed strongly in a sharp effort. AVE, a keen factor from the beginning, established a clear lead in the stretch, but faltered nearing the finish. MARIE EILEEN was hustled into command before qoing a quarter, then weakened and drifted to the outside during the stretch run. COTTON GINNY was never a serious contender. QUEEN APACHE was outrun. E. raced evenly to the stretch, secured a good position for the drive, but could not overtake the leaders. CATSMEOW lacked early speed, was sent to the outside for the stretch run, but failed to rally while under brisk handling. MONTES ACE was never prominent and had no mishap. The latter, a sharp factor from the start, saved ground while in hand to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast, was getting to the winner at the finish. BLUE HEDDA held on well to the last eighth, then faltered. JAY raced evenly to the stretch and was tiring badly when crowded during the drive. FAVORITO raced wide during the last three-eighths.
