Skoog Signs Lakers Pact MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., May 9 UP.— Myer "Whitey" Skoog signed a year contract to play with the Minneapolis Lakers professional basketball team of the National Basketball Association, general manager Max Winters announced today Skoog, named to several All-American teams, was the leading scorer at the University of Minnesota for the past three seasons and has been named on three Big Ten all-conference teams.
