JAMES B. came in nearing the turn while being hard hustled, took command and drew clear rounding the turn, was hard put in the final furlong and was disqualified and placed in last position. REDINGOTE was crowded back on the inside nearing the turn, came again on the outside when clear and closed strongly. SPA was eased back nearing the turn, saved ground and finished willingly. CHIPS0N had early speed and tired. KHUMBABA was outrun. INEZMUCH lost ground early and gave way. RUTH HANSON dropped back suddenly after breaking quickest. LIEBESKIND had brief speed and weakened. DAUNTON forced the pace on the inside, but lacked speed to remain with the leader on the turn, came out for the drive and, after displacing ETERNAL HERB in the late stages, drew clear. The latter established a clear lead and came to the rail on the turn, but weakened in the final sixteenth mile. TREDYFFRIN saved ground after the opening quarter mile while well placed and turned in a good effort. UNDER ORDERS was forced to race wide on the turn. BASHAW was slow to gain best stride. MID REWARD weakened in the drive. FIREBRAKE was forced to race slightly wide. CAMBETTA had no excuse. NEW HOPE improved position from the outside throughout, drew out under urging in the stretch and lasted over ARCTIC TERN. The latter was shuffled back between horses on the final turn, came again between horses, drew clear and was getting to the winner. BOLD BYRD, reserved until nearing the final turn, was forced to race wide while moving up and finished gamely. DON PASCAL caught tired horses. HERE HE IS made a mild bid on the outside entering the stretch and gave way. CUE MAC and DARING MAID ran forwardly placed for six furlongs and quit. NEW NATION quit suddenly after a half mile. PRIZE RING outbroke his field, shook off TRICK PILOT and drew clear again under punishment, but could not resist the winner. COUNT FLAME was forced to go to the middle of the track entering the stretch when making his bid and lacked a menacing rally. TRICK PILOT was briskly handled to threaten boldly on the turn and weakened in the drive. ARMAGEDDON lost some ground while forwardly placed and tired.
