Garden State Shows Increase GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 9. — Both attendance and mutuel play have shown increases over the coinciding meeting here last year. The totals for the first eight days of this 25 -day meeting revealed a total of 143,347 persons having passed through the turnstiles for a daily average of 17,918, as against 116,913 patrons and an average of 14,614 last season. In the money department, 0,525,903 has been wagered this meeting, which is almost ,000,000 above the ,855,162 registered in 1950. The daily average this year is ,315,738, opposing last years ,106,895.
