Ross Visiting in Lexington LEXINGTON, Ky., June 11.— James P. Ross, Sr., veteran general manager of the Bowie track in Maryland, is a Lexington visitor. Ross, originally from Lexington, left here many years ago to serve as superintendent and manager of the Havre De Grace track. He was found in Horsemens Corner of the Lafayette Hotel with his old friend Howard Oots. The latter, who had been in Chicago assisting his nephew, trainer Howard "Babe" Wells, left for New York on a business trip.
