SUN DAVID, at home in the going, quickly disposed of HYPOSTYLE on the final turn, established a clear advantage entering the stretch and, in a long drive, gamely withstood PROP. The latter came out to the middle of the track for the drive and closed with good courage. CACOMO moved up menacingly along the rail nearing the furlong marker, then weakened. SEAWARD failed to make up apprecaible ground when hard ridden through the late stages. CLEVELANDER had no mishap. HYPOSTYLE quit. -THE MARNE was overmatched. Scratched— 29637 Ballydam, 113. TRUMPETER secured racing room along the inside rail to take command entering the stretch and continued gamely when placed to brisk urging. MESCARA responded gamely when shaken for the final test and gradually was getting to the winner. LEAPO-LINO tired during the drive. SUN JAY lacked a convincing rally. BLACK CAT, much used early, had little left. BETHS BOMB was never prominent. JACK FUSANO quit. STATION AGENT was not unduly persevered with when hopelessly beaten.
