Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 23. Joseph Cascarella, secretary-treasurer of the Laurel, Md., track left Friday for a European tour, with his plans calling for visits to several race tracks. John Aborn, racing editor of the Providence Journal, checked in from the New England area to cover the 5,000 added Kent Stakes. M. C. "Ty" Shea sends word from Baltimore requesting horsemen woh desire stabling space at Bel Air, Md., for the coming 10-day meeting to mail applications immediately to the track offices. Starmount Stables Signal, second to Kiss Me Kate in last week-ends Delaware Oaks, was returned to Aqueduct by trainer Jimmy Hastie. while Apheim Stables Jaco-dema, third in the same stakes, left for Belmont Park, accompanied by Ram-pallion. Walter Mann, who has been showing good saddle form locally, will travel to Monmouth Park next Wednesday to handle Mrs. Charles E. Nelsons Winship in the 0,000 Regret Handicap. Winship, a daughter of Occupy — Sassy Lady, was a winner through disqualification last time out and prior to that was third in the Colonial Handicap. Another division of thoroughbreds conditioned by Frank Bonsai has departed for Monmouth Park. Main man in the string was the former route champion Pilaster. Excitement and Cape Cod, Jr. were sent to Bel Air, Md., for a brief period of freshening. R. Roy McClarins Conewagoe has been sent to his owners Hanover, Pa., farm to be freshened for a fall campaign. Agent George "Slim" Edwards will leave this afternoon for Monmouth, where he will handle Joe Culmone when that rider completes his 10-day suspension. Prior to leaving, Edwards is turning the promising apprentice rider, Louis Bara-nello. over to Charley Wells. Something new has been added to the already elaborately appointed recreation room of the jockeys quarters at Delaware Park. The track has intsalled a television set so that the riders, when not otherwise engaged, may have further entertainment and relaxation. In addition to the recreation room, Delaware Park has available for the jockeys some of the most modern and scientific reducing equipment of any riders quarters in the country. Train H. W. "Rube" Williams has transferred the good three-year-old filly. Gorgeous Reded, and three others to Aqueduct for campaigning. Wilile Downs has decided to pack his tack and depart for Charles Town, W. Va., where he will swing into action on Monday and remain throughout the meeting.
