GAY ROCKET raced in close attendance of the pace to the far turn, assumed command, drew clear, skirted the inner brush and maintained advantage under light pressure. FIGHTING DAY assumed command soon after the start, was placed under steadying restraint to the final turn, then lacked a closing rally. TOM FERRIS moved into contention after a half mile, but was unable to menace. GEORGES GAL lacked a closing rally. SAFE BET flattened out after reaching a contending position. ANALYSIS passed tiring horses. ROSY SCENE had no mishap. KNIGHTS DOLL was in close quarters. NIGHT MAN stumbled going to the first turn, was taken up and showed nothing thereafter. DIMIT circled the leaders leaving the backstretch to assume command, drew clear, moved over to the inside and was under light urging to the end. - WENDIGO worked his way up along the inside, came to the Outside for the drive, but was unable to menace. RABS SON raced close to the pace, but lacked a late rally. SALERNO finished with a belated rush along the inside. THIS FAR shewed speed for a half mile. BONNYVALE dropped back soon after the start, was knocked back when moving up and showed nothing thereafter. DOBY raced in spots. BLUE FALCON showed nothing. PODIUM was unable to keep ud. LAWFUL, reserved within striking distance of the pace, came to the outside for the drive, responded to steady urging and drew clear near the end. BROWNSKIN forced the pace, came to the inside entering the stretch, assumed a short lead and held on stubbornly. TULKINGHORN closed strongly between horses. SIGH MAN was forwardly placed, saved ground, but was unable to menace under pressure. ALSIRAL passed tiring horses. MUSICAL LADY established the pace under steadying restraint, drifted out badly on the far turn, held on until straightening for the drive, then weakened. BIG INCH and TINY ADMIRAL were-outrun. The latter broke i alertly, was taken back off the pace and steadied near the leader, moved into brief command in the stretch and continued on gamely. MR. JOE PUCK, reserved while saving ground close to the leader, moved to engage for command, but was not good enough. SUFFAZON set the pace to the stretch, then weakened. SCIPIO trailed throughout. OFF AT 4:34 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; third the same. ABSTRACT was sent up between horses after six furlongs, engaged for the lead entering the stretch, drew clear and moved over to the rail and lasted to earn a dead-heat with LAMBENT. The latter laid close to the pace and kept out of the jamming, responded to pressure through the stretch and closed resolutely. TILENNY, outrun to the final turn, rallied when put to a drive and was going well at the end. BLUE THANKS showed a good effort. OUTLAND, reserved near the leaders, moved into command when set down, was unable to draw clear and faltered. DE LUXE had no mishap BERNIE MOOSE took over command before a half mile, was unable to remain m front and weakened in the stretch. FAIR APPRAISAL was outrun. FLY AROUND slipped through along the rail to engage the leaders on the final turn, then flattened out. BRISK, under pressure to gain the early lead, quit badly. Scratched— 31876 Peace Mission, 104. HARD HELD forced the pace throughout and, after failing to take command, began tiring. HAPPY EAST made his move along the rail and was closing fast at the end GOLDEN CLOVER had no mishap. ARIELS MARK rushed boldly to near contention, then hung. COLUMN moved threateningly entering the stretch, then flattened out. KHYBER PASS was in the thick of contention to the final sixteenth.
