, j J ; 1 Portland Meadows to Build Extension to Dining Room PORTLAND MEADOWS, Portland, Ore., June 23. — Construction will start as soon as the current meeting is concluded on the "Sun Room," a new addition to the clubhouse dining room facilities of the Portland Meadows race track, general manager William P. Kyne announced here. In announcing the new addition Kyne explained that "the present facilities are inadequate to care for the great number of people desiring dining room reservations. The new "Sun Room" will seat about 300 people, and will be specially designed to facilitate easy movement to and from the mutuel windows. "Our faith in the success of Portland Meadows has been substantiated during the present meeting," Kyne said, "and this expansion is merely another indication of our sincere efforts to make Portland Mead- 1 ows an outstanding addition to the sports 1 life of the great Pacific Northwest."
