CALATER rapidly gained a commanding lead and was not threatened while winning with speed in reserve. TWISTED TRAIL, while no match for the winner, responded to pressure to hold the others safe. MONAMORAS mild rally failed to make her a threat. DOROTHYS MISS broke alertly, but could not keep up. SUMMER DUCK raced between horses and within striking distance early, but could not keep up. The latter saved ground while moving into contention, but was not good enough. EN ROUTE swerved to the inside leaving the chute, attained prominence while still under restraint, but could not keep up through the stretch. VIVA TEDDY was never formidable, but outfinished the others. SPRING SCOUT faltered after showing in front. BULL SESSION was outrun. TIME STITCH was pulled up when unable tc handle the going. ALERTED, between horses much of the way, responded late to loom a threat, then held MULLY S. safe. The latter was outrun early and closed with good energy. GRAY MATTER raced forwardly placed, but lacked a menacing rally. REPETOIRE, rated in close attendance to the pace, attained command nearing the stretch, soon gave way to HALL OF FAME and dropped back steadily. KORITZA weakened after racing forwardly placed. COMBAT BOOTS failed to offer a threat. YILDIZ, carried wide early, reached prominence nearing the stretch and dropped back after being impeded. SENATOR JOE displayed good speed to the stretch and dropped back after being impeded. SENATOR JOE displayed good speed to set the pace and faltered.
