A pair of equine gentlemen, Mister Mor- • • gan and Mr. Fox, will "lock horns" in one • of the two features on Monday. They will I huff and puff over the mile and an eighth 1 distance and will be accompanied on their • « trip by five others, namely, Floating Clown, , Virtue, Hand Finished, First Nighter, and I I Fleet Factor. The race will bear the title « of the Glencoe Purse, while in the second I 1 topline encounter to be known as the Far f . Star, the stakes-winning Miss Highbrow j will attempt to make amends for her re-" cent setback by trimming seven agile fil-1 lies and mares at the six-furlong distance. The filly and mare race should, perhaps, be given preference over the Glencoe, al-e I , though each is for a ,000 purse. Miss Highbrow, who races for the Brown Hotel 1 Stable, will carry 122 pounds, and will be 2 ridden by Ken Church. In her last out, , which was her first race in some time, the 5 daughter of Heliopolis was favored, but t finished fourth to Countess In, War Talk, , and Clevelander. However, this miss won 1 the Columbiana Handicap at Hialeah dur-L ing the winter and the Misty Isle Handicap j at Washington Park last year. Countess In, , who will be a rival, scored her only victory ■f of the year in winning over Miss Highbrow j and the others, while War Talk, also in the field, is a maiden on the season. Others in Far Star Purse The remainder of the Far Star field will 1 be composed of Wondring, Asphalt, Sickle e Flight, Famous Shake and Brenton Light, ;, any one of whom could make matters in- teresting off best form. Asphalt scored a % couple of times in sprint races during the e Lincoln Fields meeting; Brenton Light, who 0 was a starter in Jamaicas Correction 1 Handicap, won a couple of races in Cali-ie fornia early this year; Sickle Flight and i Famous Shake have not been very impres-d sive, but Wondring, from Dixiana, looms as s the one to beat. The Pensive filly scored d ~ over Countess In and others in her only y start at Washington Park. Mister Morgan was withdrawn from Saturdays Equipoise Mile for a crack at the e Glencoe, and if he runs back to the race at Washington Park, in which he finished in n front of Inseparable, he may be hard to 0 beat. However, Mr. Fox defeated Inseparable cleanly the last time they met and d seems to be coming up to peak form. He e I tangled with the Hasty House horse in the e I Lincoln Handicap and was second to !0 j Kosadus, while Inseparable was third. He I had previously finished third to Circus is Clown and Provocative and beat Mister • ! Morgan in that race. Floating Clown, a a J recent winner in slightly lesser company y I at Arlington, is also a contender. He beat rt j Bullish, Chariot Wheels, and Rodrigo in n that jaunt. First Nighter, the topweight, t I with Fleet Factor, both at 120 pounds, was ls ! fourth in the Tomasello Memorial at Suffolk »■ Downs. Fleet Factor was beaten off in n 1 Floating Clowns winning race. 1
