Past performances tor races run prior to that date give each horses position at start t instead of first point of call. Positions of first point of call and pre-stretch call vary according to distance of t race. Speed ratings are given all races, including turf races, with exception ot steeplechase - and hurdle events. Ratings are given from distances of three furlongs and over. No ratings for two-furlong races.
