t Bl Announce 1952 Pro Grid Schedule Seventy-Two Tilts ♦ On Complete Slate Bears Open in Green Bay On Sept. 28, Cards Meet Redskins Here Sept. 29 PHILADELPHIA, Pa., June 25 UP.— The National Football Leagues 72 -game schedule will open September 28 and will close December 14, commissioner Bert Bell announced today. The championship play-off, if no tie results, will be played in the home of the leagues American Conference winner on December 21. The schedule calls for each team to play 12 games, with the dates including four night games and a Thanksgiving Day meeting. All other games will be played on Sunday afternoons. The first round of September games marks the debut of the Dallas Texans in the league, with the Lone Star entries playing the New York Giants in the Cotton Bowl at Dallas. The Texans replaced the defunct New York Yanks in the circuit. Other opening day games are the Chicago Bears at Green Bay; Detroit at San Francisco; the championship Los Angeles Rams meeting the runner-up Cleveland Browns at Cleveland and the Philadelphia Eagles at Pittsburgh. The 12 teams will play in the American and National Conferences, with. Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington and the Chicago Cardinals in the American group. The National- line-up shows the Chicago Bears, Dallas, Detroit, Green Bay, San Francisco and the defending champions Rams. The schedule: Sept. 28 — Chicago Bears at Green Bay; Detroit at San Francisco; Los Angeles at t Cleveland; New York at Dallas; Philadelphia at Pittsburgh. Sept. 29— Washington at Chicago Cardinals. Lions Play Rams Oct. 3 — Detroit at Los Angeles. Oct. 4 — Cleveland at Pittsburgh; New York at Philadelphia. Oct. 5 — Chicago Bears at Chicago Cardinals; : San Francisco at Dallas; Washington vs. Green Bay at Milwaukee.
