Florence Chadwick Training For Catalina Channel Swim LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 25 UP.— - English Channell swimmer Florence Chadwick, I- preparing for an attempt to swim " the 21 -mile Catalina Channel, said today that should she fail the first time she ie would stay here until she does. But the former San Diego secretary said d she has plenty of confidence she will complete i_ the swim on her first trial. Only two persons ever have swam the Catalina Channel, both of them men. Miss Chadwick said her tentative starting ;- date is next Wednesday. She will train at Catalina in the meantime.
