I • I Olympic Torch Being Carried To Helsinki for 1952 Games OLYMPIA, Greece, June 25 UP.— The e Olympic torch was lit here today and tra-. - ditionally a runner left the site of the original Olympic games to start the flame e on its way to Helsinki for the 1952 games. • Thousands of villagers and visitors s watched the ceremony. The torch was lit t at 9:05 a. m. 3.05 a. m. EDT. It was s placed in the hands of the first of a series s of runners who will carry the flame to o Athens, 204 miles away. From Athens it will be carried in a mining lamp to Copenhagen. There on June e 30 it will be ferried to Malmo, Sweden. i- Former Olympic winners will escort the e flame through Sweden. The torch will be handed over to the e Finns for the last series of relays into the e Helsinki Stadium to light the flame there e officially opening the 1952 Olympics on n July 19.
