Won driving; second and third the same. MY GOOD MAN fenced well while following the pace, assumed command after more than two miles and was under urging to hold his stablemate safe. REPOSE trailed much of the distance and was drawing clear of AUFTAKT. The latter held the lead briefly and quit. ELYACIN held a clear lead after fifteen jumps, gave way soon thereafter and was in second position when he broke down badly nearing the final jump. CHANDELIER jumped badly and lost rider at the seventeenth obstacle. SUNDANCE KID unseated his rider at the first jump. Scratched— 58840 Lancrel, 147; 59384 Charade, 142. HIGH DESCENT was under intermittent pressure while improving his position, gained command boldly when able to move through on the inside of the leaders, then drew clear.
