STURDY SAPLING had the most speed from the beginning and left contention behind with ease in the stretch run. NO CASE was steadied while attempting to bear out on the .turn, then held on resolutely in the drive and finished on even terms with INDIAN LAD. The latter lost ground racing forwardly placed outside horses, then finished gamely to dead-heat for second. IRONHEARTED was a keen factor, saved ground, but weakened. REPLYS IMAGE raced along evenly into the stretch, then finished well. GO WEST was forced to race wide and faltered. HELEN GRAYSON could not reach serious contention. LIBBYS FIRST was outrun. GILL!" * STARR never was far back and responded to vigorous handling in the drive to wrest command and draw c.-ar in the last sixteenth. IFALLSWELL was alertly handled setting the pace, could* not shake off opposition and slightly weakened in the final stages. GEORGIE PRICE slipped through close guarters on the inside into closer contention on the final turn and finished well. DARE TO HOPE was steadied to the final turn, then could not reach the top ones while circling wide, but finished in a dead-heat for fourth with 0. G. SISTER. The latter found room between horses in the drive and finished fast. TASTY DISH pressed the early pace and faltered. ATOM AGE and BEAU-WRAY-D raced in close company, being outrun early, but closing with good speed in the final furlong. PAGE PUG, DANDY DAN and LUCKY JONNIE guit. GALA MORN gradually drew into a clear lead racing to the far turn, then evenly maintained his speed under intermittent urging. BLACK AND BLUE raced in close attendance to the winner, but could not gain when set down in the drive. OUR TOPS saved considerable ground on the stretch turn and finished well. SULMARI lacked sufficient room on the inside and was allowed to drop back on the final turn, then raced forwardly when taken to the outside, .but tired in the last stages. IN THE MARKET found a large opening on the inside to rally belatedly in the stretch. NOBLE SPARTAN could not reach serious contention after a slow beginning. CORINTH guit. NERVE had ample racing room to easily race forwardly placed to the pace after the start, quickly opened a commanding lead rounding the turn and held her speed under intermittent punishment through the stretch. STAR PRINCE rallied behind the winner, could not seriously menace under punishment, but outlasted PLAY FIDDLE. The latter was briskly ridden throughout and lacked a closing rally. TITANS MATCH could not keep up early. ERRARD LEE quit. MONMOUTH was taken to the middle of the track and rallied belatedly. SILK QUEST was outrun. PICTURE CARD attempted to bolt after the break, trailed to the stretch and then raced well when given his head. CACIQUE faltered. CINDA raced on the outside vying with three rivals for the lead down the backstretch, gained a short advantage over RECOVER after three furlongs and gradually drew clear under brisk urging in the stretch drive. RECOVER raced next to the rail and showed in front between calls, could not stay with the winner in the final drive, but held on well. BRAZEN BRAT was taken in hand after the start, raced into closer contention on the turn, then raljied swiftly from the outside in the run home. OCCUPANCY was sluggish early, saved ground and came between horses with a late rush. BLUE RHYMER was lightly steadied when unable to stay with the top pair, appeared dangerous for the drive, but weakened when called upon. FLYAMANITA weakened in the drive. BARBARA BELLE was rated in front, held a safe margin into the stretch and suddenly weakened. MISS TAFFY was taken to the outside at the half-mile and made up distance gradually. SUPER LUNAR, taken back and to the inside at the start, had to take a wending course improving position and could not get up. COL. KIMBLE tired. HUGO YOU GO quit. QUICK IMPERIAL was outrun. NANCHANG saved ground racing with the pace, was lightly rated until displaced by DAYROUND in the drive, then responded to punishment and won gradually drawing clear. The latter was reserved close to the pace, appeared ready to draw away taking command under punishment midstretch, but hung. LET ME THRU, sluggish and trailing for six furlongs, rallied between horses in the drive and finished, fastest of all. TARPORT KID was commencing a move on the far turn when „ blocked and taken in hand, then could not get up when clear in the drive. CLEAN BROOM was unhurried while far back, then made a quick move to the leaders on the final turn that left him with little reserve for the drive. BLENLIN did not respond for the drive. CORONUS was crowded slightly on the final turn. DR. CRICKET showed nothing. INESMUCH was crowded while tiring on the final turn. Scratched— 89988 Rob Crusoe, 109; 899883 Gay Gallant, 114.
