Horses to Watch Horses who impressed Daily Racing Form representatives as being ready to win: ARLINGTON PARK VAN CROSBY— Speedy one who was a stakes winner last year and is reported to be in good condition. BUBBLEY — This filly has a chance to duplicate the feats of her stable companion, Real Delight, despite her recent defeat in the East. HOOSIER HAVOC— Well regarded two-year-old who went well in first outing at Hawthorne last week. DEAN CAVY — Last winning race in which he defeated Blaze was-very good. Was a stakes winner last season. JANA — Has been training well over the Arlington strip and could be dangerous first time out. JAMPOL — Stakes horse from the East whose trials have been on the sensational side. ROYAL MUSTANG— Likes the grass course at this track. Dont forget he won the Stars and Stripes over it last year. COFFEE MONEY— If at best for this meeting will be, worth following. Is a smart runner when right. GOV. BROWNING — This two-year-old was impressive in first start at Hawthorne, standing up well under urging in the stretch. THAXTER— Is not such a bad three-year-old and is capable of surprising on occasions. DANCE NSING— Showed by last race at Hawthorne that he is rounding to form. Has a chance to make it tw,o in a row. GOLLY— Youngster who was beaten for first time in his last race. Must have c?sr abilities. DETROIT BIG PERRY— Shifty three-year-old comes from smartly trained stable and recently worked three-quarters in 1 : 14, handily. ANOVAS — Quick plater has been showing marked improvement. Stepped four furlongs last Friday in :48, handily. LITTLE DONOR— G, and G. Stable four-year-old gelding was never better and just missed against Shag Tails in the Grand Circus Park Purse. CAJAC — Sharp sprinter can handle high-class company. Worked five-eighths in :593,5 recently. SONIC — One time stakes performer is rounding into top form and stepped a mile in 1:40%, handily. THIRD DIVISION — Raced impressively here last season. Recent morning trials are on quick side. BRIGHT SHOES — Well-conformed juvenile belongs with ,000 grade company. Can handle muddy or dry track. LEADING MAN — Ypsilanti Stable plater displayed high speed in recent outing. Should soon visit the winners ring. VIXEN FIX IT— Shwab Stable filly passed the Rose Leaves Stakes and will be hard to trim if she races to morning trials. BIG MONEY— More out badly in last out- ing, then looked good while working four furlongs in :48, handily. SHADY NOOK — Claiborne Farm three-year-old plater improves with racing and was a close second against ,000 grade rivals. AQUEDUCT EASY WHIRL — Encountered interference when starting stretch bid in previous en-is required. gagement. Better racing luck is all required. TIMELY REWARD— Is prepping cleverly for future engagements. Recently worked six panels in 1:13%, handily. SQUARED AWAY— Continues to maintain sharpness as evidenced by three-furlong trial timed in :35, flat. SIEGE — Slight drop in classification is all needed to assure victory for this shifty sprinter. SUNRISE SIREN — Juvenile maiden filly displayed good speed in last start and should graduate in near future. BROWN DALTON— Disappointed last time at short odds, but most likely will atone for that setback if not too ambitiously placed. KOPES BAY — Gained valuable experience in local debut. Appears likely to register initial success at next asking. PRIMATE — The manner in which this clever sprinter downed his opponents in last race would seem to suggest addition future successes. NO SCORE— Comes from smartly trained unit, which sends its charges postward fit and ready. Tab for early victory. HAM HOCKS— Three-year-old maiden has been close up in recent starts. Should find field to his liking in immediate future. BLUE JEANS — Raced creditably when elected to be rated in start behind Hows Tricks. Improvement with additional racing is expected. BOB O BOY— Appeared a trifle short last time and that one may have served as the necessary tightener. MONMOUTH PARK GNU — Consistent son of Okapi was beaten in an honest effort last week, but he came out of the engagement in good condition and should regain his winning ways. AGRARIAN-U— Beloved veteran who is one of the few horses to win over 50 races. Appeared in good condition returning to action and he should add to his score during the meeting. n IO — Was obviously short when making his first outing since last winter. Improvement will be noticed the next time. ESPEDECO — Was deprived of a winning chance by bad racing luck last week. Might return to defeat the same kind. ZIPPER — Gave a creditable effort over the grass considering that he broke poorly. Could surprise in a similar event. JOINER — Turned in a good race the other day and should be ready to take the laurels at the next asking. LEGEND OF CONFEY— Irish-bred colt appeared capable of much better than his1 debut suggested. Might be good material as a grass runner. PASTIEMPO — South American importation tired and obviously needed his first race here. Figures to go well with top company. RUTHRED — Was fractious before the start of his race last week and then gave a poor effort. He is capable of much better BALLYNEETY— Was knocked back at the start of his last-race and may be able to take a jump in comapny for his new owner with winning results. TRIPLAY — Juvenile raced wide and was not fully extended in her race here. She is training well and should not renVain long in the maiden ranks. DELAWARE PARK TAMALE — Retaiusjgood form and may be stretched out toa mile and a sixteenth for next. PLEIADES — Scored with authority in last and seems capable of continuing his winning ways. WINGS OF GOLD— Raced well in belated seasonal debut and could attain winning form off that effort. BEA MARONY — Carried wide while commencing rally in his last and a victory over similar company is likely. PROMPTNESS— Optional claiming races recently inaugurated here offers this one an opportunity to earn brackets. EUCLID — Belated rush just failed to net this one a victory in last appearance. WAR OF ROSES — Tired in first start but displayed sufficient speed to assure early graduation. ROMAN ROCKET— Weakened in last but "was not disgraced when but two and a half lengths behind Be Gracious. ■ KHAN — Has of ten disappointed but recent one mile trial indicates a route victory. PLATTER SCOUT — Impeded during cru-"cial stage of last outing. Deserves another chance to reverse decision. CANDIDATE — A pleasure to watch this honest fellow perform. Gilt-edged performer who deserves support. WHIRL OFF— Just about ready to click following a couple of local efforts. ESPY — Speedy miss lost big edge at start of recent sprint. Must be taken back against same company. TULOMAS GIRL— Looking, for soft spot against non-winners of two races. Could use a little distance, too. GALLABLUE— Has been overmatched locally and showings should be disregarded. Wants ,250 company and mud helps plenty. TOM A BOMB— This fellow hurts himself with early climbing action. Distance or stronger boy will correct this fault. FOREVER TALKED— Change of barns should not stop this colt. Is worth every penny of the ,000 claiming price. AUNT SOPHIE-Zacaweista filly seems steady and true and should not delay departure from ranks of maiden two-year-olds. CRANWOOD PARK SIR GAMBLE — Ran a strong race on Thursday and may come back and make it two straight. PERION — Had good speed in spots in latest race and could last it out next time at one jnile. PAIR DEGREE— Was in trouble in the early stages of his most recent effort. If accorded better racing luck will be hard to beat next out. DEAR MOOSE — Is in a new barn and may win the first time out for trainer Cran-ford. This son of Bull Moose just failed in most recent effort at one mile and one-sixteenth. BROWN PET— Turned in a poor effort here on Thursday, but is capable of much better and should make amends next out. JO TED — Appeared to be short in latest race over a distance. This son of Ted Easy may be better suited at seven furlongs. SHADOW SHOT— Always closes well after being rated far off the pace. Perhaps if not allowed to drop so far out of it the Watkins colorbearer could be a winner. LITTLE FOXY — Took the worst of it just -after the start in his latest race and lost all chances. This one has been improving and should have picture snapped soon. EVENING HAZE— Madexup large chunks of Aground here on Thursday and may go well over a distance of ground in a maiden race. LADY PAD — Turned in a good move in her first race over this oval and could be a winner next time she runs. EASY SILVER— Was knocked out of contention in her last race and wound up a strong second. The Bill Bell-trained mare should score inthe near future. SUFFOLK DOWNS PHEASANT BOY — A recent arrival from Canada who probably needed his last. Should make amends next outing. REGAL STONE — Has been the victim of poor racing luck during early stages of recent races. An alert post boy may get this one back in winning form. LEES UNKNOWN— A beaten "goodie"" who appeared to be in need of that first outing. Should not tarry in maiden ranks. MOP UP — A. plater who served notice a winning race is at .hand. Was a fast closing third in last. INLET MISS— Poor judgment on part of rider probably cost this miss a victory in her last. Rates another chance. LITTLE WHIM — Flashed brief speed in seasonal bow to indicate she was in need of the race. Due for improvement. DR. MOORE — Will be hard to handle in next outing. Recent second was very, impressive. HOPE HE DUS — Last was best turned in by the youngster. Slight improvement should be- good enough to win a purse. DARK DESTROYER — The manner in which this speedy colt returned to action after a long layoff suggests he will continue-his success. BARNEYS JOY— Poor racing luck deprived this one of contesting the top position in his last outing. FAIRMOUNT PARK CITY NEWS — Three-year-old maiden that is due to graduate soon. First out here was very impressive, finished second after coming from far back. OLD VIC — Has yet to make an appearance here this meeting but has been training very sharply. Runs where the claiming price is about ,500. SHIEKS IMAGE — A really fast two-year-old filly. Was returned winner of her last out over this racing strip. One of the better juvenile fillies that races for around the ,500. MR. MONICA — Just missed last time out here. Was closing fast in stretch and with racing luck is due to visit winners circle soon. JOHN GILBERT— Broke slowly in last then closed a world of ground in final stages. Should improve off that race. BARBIE B. — All races are good but really moves up in the muddy going. Tab this one if. the going is tough. KY. BEAUTY— Is at home over the longer routes. Was closing fast in a six furlongs dash, showing she needs the longer races. HERES FAY— Very consistent when placed in with her own company. Showed a game effort, in last few starts. NATIVE — Two-year-old that already has shown a preference for the muddy going. Has annexed two in a row here, but race over a soft track was best. AWAY AWAY — Has been competing in the sprint races. Should do much better if stretched out as is a little slow in i early stages. ! BERT B.— A real sharp juvenile. Has been I turning in some real good morning j trials and should be seen under, silks soon. SIR DAKOTA — One of the better sprinters who fits in with the allowance type racers. Is sharp now. - OMAHA LEAP YEAR BOY— Shuffleds back in the early stages, closed stoutly in latest effort. In winning form. BITTER FOX— Had a rough trip in previous start. Was blocked in the stretch while moving up along the rail. Should score with racing luck. , LADY BUG — Forced to take overland in j prior outing. Was eating up the opposition in final quarter. Top condition now • PLANE LUCKY— Showed high turn of speed in last, after being away from the j races since August. Should be ready. OUTA RED— Beaten a nose after being | ! sewed up along the inner rail in stretch , battle. Should atone for defeat next asking. BUSY JOHN— Cheap sort but ready for best. Made up ground after being blocked -on final turn, to finish third. Mud moves him up. COPPERSTONE — The further the better for this one.. Lacked early speed in last then came around entire field to stage ar stretch rally and finish third. Same effort should spell victory at a mile and one-sixteenth. WELCOMED NOOSE — Cut out a warm pace in sprint which was his seasonal debut, finishing second. Improvement certain. CARTERS OATS— Slow to get under way in last, was blocked at the top of the stretch while moving up fast, then came again to be a length short of victory. Early score indicated. BOLD SPOT — Sharp youngster, a recent graduate from maiden class. Can win without price tag and sems almost certain to repeat. ABBOTSFORD— Consistently a runner-up and victim of poor racing luck. Last effort proof of sustained condition. Should win at next asking.. MISS GAFFE— Carried out at the head of the stretch while moving into contention. Overcame disadvantage to finish third, less tharTa length from the money. Next should do it.
