Entries for Friday and Saturday will close Thursday. . ... . Donald Brumfield, who will ride Due de Fer in Saturdays 0,000 added Domingo, is on the grounds. The horse is trained by his father. Trainer B. W. Opperman has shipped Mirthful, Mambo, Quick Mission and Hazel Belle to Cleveland. . . . Graceron Philpot, former trainer who has been visiting with his brother, Hurst Philpot, departed for his ranch in Nebraska. . . . The veteran "Goggles" McCoy arrived from New Orleans, where he attended the wedding of his son Douglas, who recently was commissioned as an officer in the U. S. Air Corps. . . . Noble D. Bishop, brother of the noted horseman, William Hal Bishop, is visiting from Anna, 111. . . Owner Bishop has purchased Jolly Well and Choice Some, a pair, of two-year-olds, from J. Lohn. . . . Entries for Arlington Parks opening day will be taken at Washington, Arlington and Hawthore, and the draw lor post positions will be at Washington Park.
