KINGS TIP, away sluggishly, was bustled after the start to reach serious contention, took command after settling in the backstretch, then momentarily lost the lead between calls to FREE LUNCH during the drive but came again in the lasl seventy yards and was up in the last stride. FREE LUNCH, a sharp factor from the start, went to the front between calls in the stretch, was overconfidently ridden nearing the finish and was unable to withstand the top one, Just missing. WAR BULLET .had early speed -but failed to stay. RIOT failed to rally when set down through the stretch. BESTOW was through early. LEAVEMEALONE was never dangerous. ALACASSULA showed nothing. CHINKAPIN went to the front before going a half mile, settled in the stretch with a clear lead and won with something left. ALAMEDA KID gradually worked way forward to the stretch, closed resolutely but could not seriously threaten the winner, although easily best of the others. ALS CALL began sluggishly, lost ground when sent around horses entering -the stretch and could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. JOHNS-ADMIRAL tired during the stretch run. PRY PAT had early foot but failed to stay. SOUTH GATE, hustled into an early lead, gave way when challenged by CHINKAPIN. IDOL IMAGE was never dangerous. WANT-A-BIT took command at once, raced BLARNEY JILL into defeat before entering the stretch, then was ridden out to withstand CRIMSON DUST. The latter raced evenly for a half mile, finished willingly under urging, but could not reach the top one. BLUE FUZZ raced wide to the stretch, then failed to stay when set down in the drive. BLARNEY JILL raced with WANT-A-BIT for a half mile, but had nothing left for the drive. GALLA VIXEN began sluggishly and was never prominent. MR. WEB was outrun and had no excuse. SILLY SIS disliked the heavy track. SMART ANSWER APPEARED SORE DURING THE POST PARADE, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN, BUT NO WAGERS ON HER WERE REFUNDED, AS SHE WAS COUPLED IN THE BETTING WITH BLUE FUZZ. EIGHTH VENTURE, well placed early, drifted to the outside when set down through the stretch and could not threaten the winner. HOOSIER BELLE lacked early foot, made a mild bid entering the stretch, then faltered. MISS TIDWELL was never prominent and had no excuse. DUSKY DOLL could not keep up. WILLY NILLY raced evenly within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, j drifted out during the drive and could not get to the winner! HY-LIBERTY* caught in close quarters entering i the stretch, finished willingly when clear for the drive. BIDDY SUE took an early lead, raced with GOATS BEL to the stretch, then quit. GOATS BEL gave way after racing with BIDDY SUE to the stretch. NO PEEKY began fast but dropped out of serious contention Immediately after the star. OUR CHAMPION showed nohing.
