ROCKINGHAM KITCHEN BURNS SALEM, N. H., July 16 —The residents of this town early this morning came to the aid of the Salem fire fighters in an effort to save the public kitchen located outside of Rockingham Park. It was necessary to pump enough water from a nearby brook to quell the flames. Before the conflagration was ended the kitchen was reduced to ashes. The firemen kept a watchful eye on the administration building. The stables were not threatened, being far from the scene, while the wind was in the wrong direction to cause any danger from flying sparks.
