DIMIT broke alertly, was in hand while close to the pace, moved away from the field when roused, was kept out in the better going and maintained position under a hand ride. BATTLE BORN improved position gradually, came to the inside in the stretch challenge, but was not good enough. IF COMING, rushed boldly after a quarter mile, neared contention, then went evenly. WISE MAHMOUD weakened. SASON passed tiring horses. NAHUNTA went evenly. SWEET SIXTEEN tired. EYEFUL STAR flashed brief speed. AWARD and 9AM NORRIS were outrun. EMPTY SEA, kept within striking distance of the pace, rallied mildly in the late stages. . MOOSE PONE raced MY RUTHIE into submission befcre a half mile, but was no match for the winner. STEFANELLA reced close to the pace and held on well. RAY K. had no mishap. DADA lacked early speed. ICE CAP showed nothing. PHAELATER was never prominent. JUANA was outrun. TRUCHA assumed command before a quarter mile, increased the lead on the turn, shortened stride, but held on stubbornly. TIGER SCOUT made up ground on the extreme outside. THEATRE PASS, slow to settle into stride, rallied mildly in the late stages. MARYMIGIRL raced evenly. GALYCIDON, taken up leaving the gate, moved into contention, dropped to the inside and faltered. The latter established an even pace under steadying restraint, had something left for the drive and held on stubbornly. ABSTRACT moved cn the inside of the winner entering the stretch, drew close to the pace, then faltered. FIRST NIGHTER saved arcunci to no avail. OUTLAND, steadied close to the pace, made a brief challenge after a mile, then tired. PEACE MISSION forced the pace, went wide and tired after a mile.
