I CLAIMS AND SALES f # . 4 Glenno was claimed out of Wednesdays second race at Jamaica, from Dr. I. Jacobs, by F. A. Miller, for ,500. C. Frank claimed Dark Abbot out of the final race Wednesday at Jamaica, from Mrs. W. L. Brodie, for ,500. Tommy Rodrock, who handles Mrs. K. E. Hitts string, made Dr. Henry J. McCarthy a present of Sublevado, six-year-old black gelded son of Lucullite — Wechet. Soon afterward a horseman offered the Balti-morean a sum of 00 for the gelding, but Dr. McCarthy turned it down, figuring he can patch up Sublevados bad leg and get him in shape for racing on the half-mile tracks. P. O. Anderson sold the mare Madcap Marvin to the Valley Lake Stable and she will be shipped to Louisville and bred, should she not stand training. A. A. Baroni purchased Arcadian Flag from the Greencroft Stable before leaving California. C. H. Trotter purchased from George Brooks, who was acting for Edward Cebrian, the four-year old Timour at Churchill Downs. While here Friday morning H. P. Headley sold to William Crump, the two-year-old Prevalence. The juvenile will race in the interest of Mrs. W. Crump and the former jockey will train the horse.
