CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES # « LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 1. Jack P. Chinn, owner of the Leonatus Stock Farm in Jefferson County, reported that his Spooky had foaled a chestnut colt by Crusader. The mare goes to American Flag. Spooky was cut down while racing at Churchill Downs two years ago and at the time it was believed it would be impossible to save her. The youngster was her first foal. Auval "Jack" Baker arrived from Lexington with twenty horses, the property of R. S. Clark. A. B. Hancock and four of his own. Others to arrive were eight John O. Whitlow is training for different owners, and six the property of John O. Keene. Joe Dryer, former jockey, has for Mrs. A. Graham at Douglas Park the horses Wigrose. Tea Gown and Bag o Gold. Herbert M. VVoolt, Kansas City patron and owner of one of the largest stables here, motored to Lexington with his trainer, D. E. Stewart, this morning, and they expect to return before nightfall. Judd Alt is agent for jockeys C. E. Allen and R. Yelton. John Marsch, Chicago enthusiast, hurried from San Diego, where he left the ship Columbus, aboard which he made a three months tour of the Orient and Mediterranean, and was at Churchill Downs this morning. He was immensely pleased with the condition of the horses in the big stable Milo Shields is training for him. W. C. and E. W. Reichert have at Douglas Park Brown Wisdom, My Dandy, Boiling, Brown Hills, Esme, Hogans Outlook, Pink-olemlian, Tippy Toe and Wizardry, and W. C. Reichert is training them. A. P. Canales High Scoi*. among the I horses brought here from Maryland by George Charceller, is to be turned out. Mr. Canale is expected here from Memphis next i week and will remain for the Derby. I E. H. Von Roenn retired the mare Dolly Seth, and she has been bred to Peter Hastings, which is standing at Dixiana. William Westerfield unloaded Sun Bonny, Memphis Belle, Memphis Lass and Dale Lass from Lexington.
