v REPORT ON TOTALIZATOR LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 1.— Col. M. J. Winn, executive director of Churchill Downs, Washington Park, Latonia and Lincoln Fields, Thursday spent some ten minutes talking over trans-Atlantic telephone with Ervin A. Weidekamp, at London, England, relative to the latters findings with regard to the adoption of the totalizator for use at the tracks under Colonel Winns direction. In a statement this afternoon, Colonel Winn said: "Mr. Weidekamp found the totalizator quite practical, and with some changes, it may be possible to successfully operate it Jn this country." Mr. Weidekamp, sent to England by Colonel Winn to inspect all the totalizators in operation in that country, is leaving for the United States Saturday. Under present plans Colonel Winn will go to England and France in July, and while abroad will give much of his time to a further study of the totalizators.
