STORM PRINCESS raced into the lead shortly after the start and, holding on well in the going, outlasted BRIGHT FLOWER. The latter, well placed all the way, finished gamely in the stretch and was wearing down the winner at the end. WINGO broke fast, but was unable to keep up in the early part and was taken to the outside entering the stretch to finish well. JIM NED raced well. HUDSON BAY quit. TREMENDOUS raced wide all the way. CHERAW gained steadily on the outside and finished gamely. QUICK, weakly handled, broke well, but was taken back in the first quarter, savd ground entering the stretch and finished gamely. HAIR TRIGGER, at home in the going, was under restraint for the first half mile, moved up fast on the inside approaching the lower turn, raced ORKIN into the ground and, drawing away into a long lead, won easing up. NORTHERN SPY, under restraint early, moved up steadily during the final half- mile and finished gamely. ORKIN was sent into a long lead in the first quarter mile, but was tiring badly at the end. FOREST AVENUE moved into the lead with a rush on the lower turn and held on gamely in the final drive. MALIMOU raced in closest pursuit of the early pace, took a short lead on the lower turn and fought it out stubbornly. THE BREAK closed gamely in the final quarter. BON CHAMP showed good speed for three-quarters, then tired badly. BOBBY SWEEP, fractious at the post, fell in the stall, broke well and showed speed for three-eighths, then tired.
