1 BLUE BONNETS TURF NOTES t i S The Quebec Kings Plate failed to fill to capacity and the management decided to run this old feature as a special event to be run immediately following the fourth race on Mondays card. This event carries a value of 00 and a gift of fifty guineas from His Majesty the King, the provincial government has also added a gift of 50 which will be split four ways among the breeders of the contestants. The breeder of the winner will receive 25, the second horse 5, the third 5, and fourth 5. This event only received four entries which include Sir Michael, Stone Chatter, Pestle and Smoke Ring. This event is to be decided over the nine furlongs distance and is a non-betting affair. Trainer Charles Saunders, in charge of the platers Foggy Dew and Waterway, the property of B. Bowes, unloaded at Blue " Bonnets Saturday morning from Thorn- cliffe Park, Toronto. Eddie Bowie arrived from Toronto with Sir Michael, Miss Cud and Miss Donovan. Colored Artist, another member of this stable, was left at Thorncliffe to fulfill his Saturday engagement, but will be shipped to Montreal on Monday. Included in the car with the Bowie shipment were the homebred platers Die Cast, Thermal and Malabar, the property of Leo LeBoeuf. M. Maceys good plater Learoyd pulled up decidedly sore while being worked Friday t morning, and will be on the shelf for some time.
