I LAT0NIA TURF NOTES 4 . Tom Young, peer of Americas track superintendents, returned from New York Saturday and remained to witness the running of the Latonia Derby before journeying on to Churchill Downs, where he has some improvements to make, which were ordered by Col. Matt J. Winn. While in the metropolis, Young was treated very cordially by the easterners and said that Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt regreted that he could not have a representative in the Latonia Derby. However, Young did persuade the shipment of Gillie and The Mauler, which filled their engagements. Four horses, the property of Lou Molasky, popular Dayton, Ohio, owner, arrived- here from far away Tanforan Friday. They were Spoilt Beauty, Esperanto, Miss Moo, and Sunny Bob. The shipment was in charge of trainer A. L. Taylor. Jockey A. Pascuma and trainer A. L. Taylor filed applications for licenses and were granted privileges by the stewards. Trainer D. T. Hisle, representing E. R. Bradley, sold the two-year-old Bustanybody to Dubbs and Runnels. The son of Bagen-baggage was successful in his first essay May 28. Terms of the transaction were private. Apprentice Pauldelland loses his apprentice allowance June 8. On that date a year ago he rode Star Bud to victory at Latonia.
