T LATONIA TURF NOTES f $ Jockey P. Roberts, who drew a fifteen-day suspension astride Joaney B. on the opening day of the Latonia meeting, will have served his period of inactivity Thursday and plans to resume riding Friday at Latonia. H. C. Applegate of Louisville, owner of the promising juvenile Chigre, returned to his home Wednesday following a visit of one day for the purpose of seeing his representative in action. According to announcement made by John McQuaide, J. G. Goode, trainer of the J. W. Parrish racers, has signed jockey Joe Cowley to ride one of the stables starters in the Cincinnati Trophy on Saturday, June 20. Proph, a recent double winner, Dellor and Bohannon are the Parrish eligibles for the stake. George V. Barnes reported the sale of the three-year-old brown gelding Copper Mine by United Verde Whiskarrow, to Mrs. E. C. Campbell of Cicero, 111. The terms of the transaction were private. E. A. Miller, announcer on the public address system, received a batch of applications for stall reservations for the impending Thistle Down session near Cleveland, Ohio. Miller distributed the blanks to owners contemplating shipment to the Ohio track Wednesday.
