: - - r 1 PAY-OFF IN ALL DEAD HEATS I J In the case of any and all dead heats, wagers made away from the track f ! the chart prices should prevail if track odds were offered and accepted. Where I house odds were accepted, the procedure should be as follows: If was bet on j each horse and 3 to 1 laid on one horse, the pay-off should be .00 to the player J J and .00 to the layer; if 2 to 1 was laid on the other, the pay-off should be .50 i to tho player and .50 to the layer. "Where one of the horses in a dead heat is quoted at odds-on, or less than even money, the transaction is a loser. For instance, if is bet on a 4 to 5 shot, the pay-off in the dead heat would be 90 I cents to the layer and 90 cents to the player.
