I AGAWAM TURF NOTES $ k John P. Turner, Jr. departed after the lasl race Wednesday to join the official family at Suffolk Downs. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bennett presented a beautiful set of diamond cuff links to Tj Shea as a wedding gift to that popular official. Jockey C. Coffman straightened out his difficulties with the stewards and accepted mounts for Thursday. Craft-Ciaft has the distinction of being the first horse to be placed on the schooling list by starter Ira Gregory. B. Wimmer, former contract rider foi John D. Spreckels III., arrived from Rockingham and will ride as a free lance. J. T. Engle arrived from Virginia with four horses. The jockey roster at Agawam Park has reached the total of thirty-eight and apprentice A. Cooper tops the list with twenty-five wins for the first eleven days and apprentice E. Tucker, his nearest rival, has ten wins up to date. Jimmy Lynch tops tht veterans with seven and one-half wins, the half credited to him as the result of a deac heat. A new condition book has been issued today by racing secretary Eddie Brennai which covers the period from May 2 to tin closing day of July 8. A string of horses belonging to Admira Cary T. Grayson, Ambassador Breckinridgi Long and H. P. Metcalf arrived from Rock ingham Park under the direction of trainei M. Smart. Herman P. Conkling, steward at Suffoll Downs, motored to Agawam Park from Bos ton for a days visit. Mr. Conkling was highly impressed with the scenic beauty ol Agawam Park and its uptodate facilities. T. F.
