Vanderbilt, arrived here from New York to fulfill his engagement in Saturdays 0,000 Rockingham Park Handicap. Jockey J. Jacobs has joined the stable of J. Chesney and plans to go to Detroit at the conclusion of the present meeting. Thirty-seven horses have changed hands by way of the halter route to date at the present meeting. The highest claiming price thus far was ,500, for Dreel. which was taken by D. J. Sullivan III. of San Antonio, Texas. Jockey John "Red" Pollard, favorite of New England racegoers, resumed active campaigning Wednesday as a free-lance rider. He can do 106 pounds.
